Windsor Great Park  The parkland covers thousands of acres. Little wonder dogs love Windsor Great Park too. Dog owners, and their faithful friends are welcome all year round. Naturally, there are some restrictions - for both your safety and others - like in our car parks, where dogs must always be kept on a lead.

Whitby Beach  Dog restrictions apply on the main south beach during the summer months but much of the lovely sandy beach to the north - all the way to Sandsend - is acessible to dogs & their owners! The causeway floods at high tide, so it is very important to check the tide times before crossing.

Bournemouth Beach  There are certain restrictions on some of Bournemouths beaches during the summer months but dogs are allowed "to the west of Durley Chine and east of Fisherman's Walk up to Hengistbury Head" during that time. Weymouth Beach  The part that dogs are allowed on is flat and sandy with easy access to the water. However the area is only really about 200 sq. metres (maybe better suited to small dogs). There is a road next to the beach (the promenade) where you can park (pay & display). This beach suggested by site user Tim.

Becky Falls Woodland Park  Picnic benches are provided at the picnic areas marked on the map. You may also picnic anywhere around the walks where you find a suitable spot. Dogs are very welcome but must be kept on a lead AT ALL TIMES to ensure the safety of our wildlife. Dog waste bins are not provided on the walks so please ensure that if your dog needs to go it does so off the path and not on it.

Criccieth Castle  Built originally by Llywelyn the Great, and perched on a headland with magnificent views this castle included a very English style of gatehouse. Dogs on leads (especially to keep them away from the edges of the cliffs) welcome.

Many beaches have some restrictions regarding dogs and we would advise that you contact the local tourist information centre concerned before setting out to ensure that the information contained on our site is correct.

St Mawes Castle - English Heritage  St Mawes Castle is among the best-preserved of Henry VIII's coastal artillery fortresses, and the most elaborately decorated of them all. Dogs are permitted in the grounds and in the keep, as long as they are kept on a lead.

Sheffield Park and Garden, Uckfield (East Sussex) - National Trust  Dogs, on leads, are welcome on the parkland and off-lead in East Park. Dogs on short leads are also welcome in the garden after 2.30pm daily, and in the Garden Room in the tea-room.
