The Old Vicarage is a 5 bedroom detached cottage situated in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage offer superb unrestricted views of the countryside and there are many walks & local attractions close by. Accommodation is for up to 10 adults + 2 cots & high chairs are available. All towels, bedding(duvets) & heating are included – there are no hidden ‘extra’ charges. There are two pubs within walking distance each serving excellent meals. One allows dogs in the bar, the other in both bar & restaurant.
Whilst retaining its original charm The Old Vicarage has all modern amenities. The master bedroom has a four poster bed and en-suite bathroom with separate shower. There are a further two double rooms, one with sleigh bed and en suite shower room, and two twin bedded rooms. The connecting door between the ‘sleigh’ room & a ‘twin’ room can be used if required. A third family bathroom, with separate shower, makes this a most suitable property for families to share.
The large kitchen has an Aga and electric cooker. Also provided are: a microwave, fridge/freezer, washer/dryer, dish washer, toaster & kettle.The through lounge dining room has a large circular table. Three settees and 5 easy chairs allow plenty of room to relax in comfort. There is a large screen television with ‘freeview’, DVD player, CD player and selection of DVD/CDs. WIFI internet access is available. A paved patio area, with table & chairs, provides an excellent opportunity to eat alfresco.
Dogs: As dog owners ourselves, we are keen to encourage responsible dog owners – and their dogs - to stay in our cottage and make the most of the large, enclosed, garden. Please do not allow dogs to jump on the furniture or beds. Dogs should not be left unaccompanied in the cottage. Smoking: Strictly NO SMOKING – smokers outside only please!
Rates: are from £580 to £1,195 per week depending on season. Short breaks are available in the quieter periods. Please contact us by phone or email quoting dates required or ask for details of dates still available. You should not assume any dates to be booked until written confirmation has been received. We do not supply holiday insurance and suggest that you may wish to take make your own insurance arrangements. Finding The Old Vicarage: The village itself is well signposted. Once you reach the village please take the turning at the side of The Old Fox & Hounds Inn and after about a quarter of a mile you will arrive at The Old Vicarage.
